Meet the Colchester Dental Group Staff
VALERIE
I work for Dr. Zase as his personal chairside assistant. I've been working with the Colchester Dental Group for over 30 years having started just after birth. I am qualified to take all x-rays as well as many other expanded duties. I've lived in Colchester or the surrounding area for many years. My favorite pastime is training my two Australian Shepherds Kim and Killian to compete in dog agility.
Dr. Zase and I have a great working relationship, as is evidence by the amount of time we have worked together. We work as partners and he makes sure to include me as a valuable member of the team. We strive to keep our patients happy and comfortable while we design and deliver new and improved smiles. We participate in lots of continuing education courses and are always informed about the latest and best techniques in dentistry. The Colchester Dental Group is staffed by a terrific group of dedicated people and is a wonderful place to work.
SUE
My name is Sue and I'm a graduate of the State University of New York at Farmingdale and I have been practicing dental hygiene with the Colchester Dental Group for several years. I have been a member of the American Dental Association and Connecticut Dental Hygienist Association and have held several offices on both the state and local levels. I enjoy taking continuing education courses to stay current in the latest advancements in my profession.
I live in Mystic with my husband, son and daughter. Aside from dental hygiene I enjoy spending time with my family, boating, skiing, reading and going to the beach.
PENNEY
Hello, my name is Penney and I am the office manager and insurance coordinator. I've had the distinct pleasure of working for the Colchester Dental Group since 1985. I was educated in London, England. I love to spend time with my wonderful family, biking and sightseeing and spending time outdoors. My hobbies include designing artist teddy bears and plush animals and scrapbooking with my daughter.
SHERYL
Hi, my name is Sheryl. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BS degree in dental hygiene. I'm an experienced dental hygienist and have been with the Colchester Dental Group over twenty years. My operatory is decorated with a fish theme. When I'm not at work I enjoy gardening, reading, doing puzzles, walking (usually with my dog, Rascal), and spending time with my family and cats.
SUE K.
Hi, my name is Sue and I have enjoyed being involved in the dental profession for several years. It is my pleasure to be a member of the Colchester Dental Group team. I am the chairside assistant to Dr. Michael Babinski. When I'm not working, you will probably find me in my canoe fishing or at a friend's house horseback riding. I also love to spend time with my grandchildren.
BARBARA
Hello, my name is Barbara. I am Dr. Park's primary chairside assistant. We specialize in delivering the highest quality dentistry and pride ourselves in making our patients (friends), laugh at each and every visit. Over the years we have become great "punsters". Outside the office I enjoy my family, my cows and my cat Tucker.

Hello, my name is Michelle. I've been a Patient Coordinator at the Colchester Dental Group since 2002. I am a student at the University of Connecticut, studying to become a United States history teacher. In my spare time I enjoy being with my friends and family, and I am a huge New England Patriots fan.
BECKY
Hi, my name is Becky and I'm a Patient Coordinator at the Colchester Dental Group. I live in Salem with my husband, Wayne, our daughters, Emily and Jaime, and our many pets!! I love to spend time with my family and friends, walks with my yellow lab, Jesse, skiing or snowboarding and just being outdoors.
Since joining the Colchester Dental Group, in 2007, my position has taught me so much about the importance of proper oral care. The devotion to make sure our patients receive the best care and the education to make their oral health the best is truly admirable. I value the standards our staff strives to achieve and delivers. I am enjoying the interaction with my coworkers and patients. I never imagined so many nice people could be found in one place!! The relationships that develop with each visit are invaluable. I am honored to be part of such a wonderful group.
RACHEL
Hi, my name is Rachel. I am a Patient Coordinator here at the Colchester Dental Group. I am a former Marine and a proud mother of three. Spending time with my family and friends is what I like to do outside of the office. Getting to meet new people is my favorite part of the job.
ROBYN
My name is Robyn and I'm a graduate of the University of New Haven with a Bachelors of Science and am the newest addition to the staff as a Dental Hygienist at the Colchester Dental Group. Since joining the Colchester Dental Group it has been an honor and an inspiration to work with such a great and capable staff who are committed to the highest quality of dentistry and dental health.
I live right in Colchester with my family just minutes from the office. Outside of work I enjoy piano, gardening, running and spending time with my wonderful two boys.
KAREN
Hello, my name is Karen and I'm the newest Patient Care Coordinator at the Colchester Dental Group. I work part-time evenings and weekends. It's great to work with such nice people. At home, I love spending time with my family. My other hobbies and interests include: antiquing, hiking, volunteering, shopping and going to the beach. I really enjoy working with the public and am thrilled to be part of the CDG team.
JANET
Hi, my name is Janet and I am a floating dental assistant at the Colchester Dental Group. I enjoy working with all three doctors, but my favorite part of the job is working with all of our wonderful patients. I love helping people with many different things, especially with bleaching. Making smiles shine makes me happy. The staff here is great and I'm really pleased to be a member of this family-oriented dental practice.
In my spare time, I like to do volunteer work with non-profit organizations in my local community. I also enjoy spending quality time with my husband, children and my two beautiful grandsons. My hobbies are working out at the gym, sewing and needlework, and going out on our family boat.
DIANE
Hi, my name is Diane. I came to the Colchester Dental Group in 2011 and have the pleasure of being a Floating Chairside Assistant to all three of the Doctors here. It's great to have the opportunity to work with three very talented and so different professionals, who consistantly deliver the very best dentistry can offer.
Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my husband and four boys. My hobbies include teaching jazzercise, biking, running, horses, and anything beach related. I have lived in Colchester nearly my entire life and am happy to work so close to home and be part of the CDG team.
