Colchester Dental Group cyclists help raise money for the Steeplechase Charities.
Dr. Mike Babinski (center) has been a significant leader of this project for years.
The Steeplechase donations support Perception Programs, WAIM (Windham Area Inter-faith Ministries), fuel banks, halfway houses, and food for the needy are just some of the charities helped by this bicycle trek between churches through the towns of eastern Connecticut (thus: steeple chase).
The 18TH Annual Steeple Chase Bike Tour will be held on August 15, 2009, and the COLCHESTER DENTAL GROUP will be sponsoring and participating in this yearly fund raiser. Dr Babinski, staff, patients and friends will be riding and raising money to support Perception Program and Windham Area Interfaith Ministry. We invite any of our patients to join us, and encourage any other bikers to participate in this well run bike tour. It is one of the few bike tours where people actually claim to gain weight because of all the fabulous food served at the rest stops. Colchester Dental Group is hoping to once again defend the Corporate/Club/Church Challenge title it has won for the last three years in a row, as the top fundraisers. AACD 25th Anniversary AACD Scientific Session, Excellence in Cosmetic Dentistry 2009
Dr. Marty Zase attended the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s (AACD) 25th Anniversary AACD Scientific Session, Excellence in Cosmetic Dentistry 2009, in Honolulu, Hawaii from Monday, April 27 – Friday May 1, 2009. He was accompanied by his dental assistant, Valerie Jakubowski and his office manager, Penney Ahmed, who were celebrating their many years of service at the Colchester Dental Group. While Dr. Zase was delivering three different lectures at the conference, Valerie and Penney attended many advanced continuing education courses to keep current with the latest techniques in clinical cosmetic dentistry
The AACD is the world’s largest international dental organization dedicated to advancing excellence in the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Marty Zase is an Accredited member of the Academy and was their president from 2006-2007.

A Look Inside the AACD with AACD President Marty Zase
Colchester, CT - Dr. Martin Zase was featured in Dental Economics magazine.
Dr. Zase is President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the largest cosmetic dentistry organization in the world, and he also serves on the AACD Board of Accreditation Examiners and chairs the Conference Advisory Committee. At the AACD, he was one of the developers of both the University Advisory Council and the Private Education Advisory Council to help spread the teaching of cosmetic dentistry to dental students at all stages of their careers.
